What may be included in a total
Airfare and seats can change at any time. A quote is not final until the agency issues the e-ticket.
- Base airfare
- Government taxes and mandatory charges
- Carrier-imposed charges
- Optional products you choose
- Agency service fee
Agency service fees
A travel agency may charge for a booking, change, cancellation, or other agent work. The agent states the amount and refund terms before you pay.
Airline charges and fare differences are separate from an agency fee. Ask the agent to list each amount. Check what comes from the airline and what comes from the agency.
Before sharing payment details
- Write down the ticketing agency's legal name
- Confirm every passenger name and birth date
- Repeat the dates, airports, and flight numbers
- Ask which items are refundable or changeable
- Confirm the exact total and currency
- Ask what name will appear on the card statement
- Confirm when and how ticket details will arrive
Who processes the payment
FlightsRoad does not take payment on this website. Before payment, the travel agency identifies the merchant of record and the name expected on your card statement. Your confirmation should show the merchant, charges, and ticket details.
